Here's a stream of gases ejected by a stellar collision in the Orion Nebula. These gasses travel at over 100 km/sec and cover a mind-bogglingly vast area.

To give an idea: a trip to Mars will take us about 6-8 months, whereas these gasses will get there in 25 days.
