I mean to be fair, despite being $50 1/4 portions of a single game, they DID all come with a 30+ minute OVA at a time when most anime DVDs with that amount of content were $30 on their own, so the price isn't all that bad in the grand scheme of things. I got em all used years later anyway so lol

.hack//'s really one of those things where, like many CC2 games sadly, it kind of gets by on its vibes and charm, which it has a lot of. I just wish they're able to finally make the game they envision without any compromises with this new one.

Messing around with .hack//IMOQ to refresh my memory and man oh man I forgot just how ridiculous the brick walling this game does to you to pad out the playtime. Every major story dungeon you basically have to do a random dungeon on your own because you're severely underleveled.

Personally I think they're stressing it being a revitalization and that the characters we've seen aren't the original version specifically to allow for people to start with the new game without feeling like they HAVE to catch up with everything that already exists. The additional substance is bonus

Thinking about theory that .hack//Z.E.R.O. does in fact take place in existing timeline, but as usual can be enjoyed solo

Being called project Dusk, Immortal Dusk in //Link, digitilization caused by Aura's song, Kite_0's headphones and streetwear appearance... Maybe not doubleware but digitized?
