Maybe this could be a counter use for AI, even. Using AI to reveal the stolen work underneath AI images. A "fight fire with fire" type thing. Eh, just a random thought—who knows if that's actually possible.

This could maybe be a project for people more savvy at computer science than I could ever be: some kind of way to reverse engineer an AI image to reveal its training material so that real artists can get at least some credit.

Every once and a while I'll see an image that I think looks good and realize it's AI upon further inspection. Upon this realization, I lament that it's extremely difficult to find the *actual* artist who drew the material the AI was trained on; the original work that I actually like, not the slop.
