My issue with a lot of modern sympathy for the monster stories now like Frankenstein adaptations or Medusa is that the writer can only be sympathetic to the monster if they write them as completely smoothed over and reactionary, like yeah it's easy to sympathize with them when they do nothing wrong

I forgot just how genuinely embarrassing her take on Medusa using the retelling of a retelling with the whole "There's actual multiple versions" or "myths change overtime" just tells me she values easy to digest surface level aesthetic and views culture and history like a fantasy series

I don't think Kelly Thompson is a bad writer but I think she has the issue a lot of writers have that try to use Greek Myth where it only works if the audience is ignorant about the subject and she uses it for surface level fantasy aesthetic. The Medusa aspect is such a waste of potential

I'd like to remind everyone Kid Rock didn't grow up white trash, he had wealthy parents, his dad owned multiple car dealerships in Michigan where they lived, his 18th birthday gift was 3 million, THIS IS WHERE HE GREW UP

Living in Minnesota right now feels like being in the emergency room. Literally everyone is suffering in different ways, even if it's "just" a badly twisted ankle rather than a kidney stone or a full-on heart attack. The staff are working as hard as they can but energy and resources are dwindling.

I was randomly scrolling through sitcom shows and I was on Everybody Loves Raymond season 4 and they had their 100th episode by season 4 and I forgot that sitcoms used to have around 20 episodes per season
