Ha! I just said to myself: that looks like Colin Robinson 🤭
I’m reading (devouring) Learning to Swim and have Small Pleasures lined up to read next. I believe I’ve found my new favourite author. She makes it look so easy.
Oh no, this was the first year I had something complete that I could enter and I didn’t hesitate to enter because even if i don’t get long listed, there’s the incentive of feedback. Thank you for all you do.
I had this exact conversation with myself this morning and subsequently wrote 2000 words. So liberating…
Congratulations to all
Just started Tom Lake, Ann Patchett
Well done, congratulations
What a treat to love a book so early
Well, I took a deep breath and submitted my #discoveries2025 entry today. So excited for this story 🤩
Agreed. It’s where I am now with my new wip but having just finished writing a novel in November that began with a horrendous first draft and ended up a story that I love, I keep reminding myself to trust the process.
Just about to start My Name Is Lucy Barton. Just finished Girl, Woman, Other ❤️
Excellent advice. First drafts are my absolute nemesis. I’m changing my space on my day off tomorrow and taking myself off to one of our local libraries to see if that helps. Writing a first draft at home I always seem to end up with a very sparkly bathroom and kitchen 🤪🤩
The Deverry Series etc etc Katharine Kerr?
I adored these books - not sure I’ve read the final one in the pic. I’ll have to check back.
Congratulations, can’t wait to read it
Congratulations 🥳👏🏻👍
😬 I’d fit in well
That’s my trick 🤦♀️
The Trouble With Goats and Sheep 🙂
Just started The Trouble With Goats and Sheep, Joanna Cannon, and feel I’m in for a treat.
The Stand. I was mesmerised.
Hello, hi.
I’ve made an inexhaustive starter pack of the bookish people I’ve found here so far 📚
