Yeah, pretty much. A lot if, not most, of the hunting done in the US in on public land, and most hunters here would also consider themselves conservationists. (And they wouldn't be wrong about that). Poaching is just a dick move proving you think you take priority over everyone and everything else.

Apropos of nothing: One of the most clean-cut divides between layperson British and American perspectives I've noticed is the general opinion of poachers.

Really want to encourage libraries - especially school libraries - to put no-AI content into your collection development policy. At the very least, if you have a clause in there about requiring accurate information, you can use that to weed out or prevent genAI purchases.
