Back from #awp2025 and in the rhythm of grading and still trying to figure out how to balance that work / family / writing thing but feeling closer to being able to do so. The last panel I attended was on fallow times, which are always involuntary for me, so I'm building networks to prevent that.
I sometimes print practice cursive sheets for my sophomores who are about to sign their driver’s licenses.

I live in a tiny blip of a town (population 363), so when I go up to the city, I get all achey and nostalgic for buildings like this. We went to Owamni, then ice cream at Sebastian Joe’s, and finished it up at Mager’s & Quinn with a sack full of used books.
