The answer isn't to double down on neoliberalism and protect the wealthy at the expense of the vulnerable. The system needs to change. Greater targeting of the wealthy, who hoard it, is what is required.
Email your MP. Let them know this will not stand.
I didn't vote for Labour becos I knew they couldn't be trusted, but even I'm taking aback by just how callous and quick they've thrown vulnerable people under the bus. Reform will be licking their lips.
17.03.2025 09:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've never contacted my MP until today. @teamlabouruk.bsky.social decision to push through cuts on welfare and push vulnerable people into or further into poverty is simply deplorable. @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social comments yesterday were disgusting, and he is stigmatising mental health.

Or as Percy Bysshe Shelley wrote way back in 1821:
"The rich have become richer, and the poor have become poorer; and the vessel of the State is driven between the Scylla and Charybdis of anarchy and despotism."

Q. Does class contribute to uni decline with potentially more lower class students finding it harder to go becos of the costs involved i.e. acc., living, etc.

A tutor I had at uni went to school with him. He told us how he had to share a bus home with him everyday and listen to how so far up his own arse he was. I think "tool" was one word he used to describe him.
21.02.2025 11:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Imagine if Biden wrote something as unhinged as this guy.
19.02.2025 16:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The post by Trump on Truth Social reads: Think of it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to go into a War that couldn't be won, that never had to start, but a War that he, without the U.S. and "TRUMP," will never be able to settle. The United States has spent $200 Billion Dollars more than Europe, and Europe's money is guaranteed, while the United States will get nothing back. Why didn't Sleepy Joe Biden demand Equalization, in that this War is far more important to Europe than it is to us β We have a big, beautiful Ocean as separation. On top of this, Zelenskyy admits that half of the money we sent him is "MISSING." He refuses to have Elections, is very low in Ukrainian Polls, and the only thing he was good at was playing Biden "like a fiddle." A Dictator without Elections, Zelenskyy better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left. In the meantime, we are successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only "TRUMP," and the Trump Administration, can do. Biden never tried, Europe has failed to bring Peace, and Zelenskyy probably wants to keep the "gravy train" going. I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his Country is shattered, and MILLIONS have unnecessarily died - And so it continues.....
π¨Holy shit.
Trump has just launched a scathing attack on Zelenskyy.
Heβs actually called him a dictator.
There can be no doubt: the President of the United States is now a Kremlin asset.
11 year old nephew entered the room the other day to tell me that Palestinian people were "not nice people" and Donald Trump is "a good man." Jesus Christ.
Fair to say he won't be playing his PS5 for a while.
Globalisation isn't the problem, ya fanny.
It's the hoarding of extreme wealth by a minority, who control the media, the modes of production, and government. That's the problem.
Immigrants & transgender people aren't the problem, they are the scapegoats to keep people from looking up at the 1%.
