La Carrera Panamericana - Pink FLoyd YouTube video by Lucky Starr

Gilmour is a car guy too. They made a documentary about the Mexican car race La Carrera Panamericana in the early 90s. Gilmour and Mason were both competitors. They did the music too, some of it quite good and unavailable elsewhere. youtu.be/3FxdXY7GIrg?...

and Saucerful of Secrets, drummer Nick Mason's revival band of early Floyd stuff. It would've been too much to ask Pratt that. hope you can find out, but even if you somehow cornered Gilmour himself, he probably wouldn't remember. But if I ever get the chance, I'll let you know!

I'm a superfan as you know. The lead (and only) guitarist would be David Gilmour. The closest I've ever gotten to meeting any of them was Guy Pratt, a session bass player and not an official member of the band, but he's played bass for post-Waters Floyd, Gilmour solo,

Instead of spending Star Wars Day telling people how wrong they are about The Last Jedi, I'm working all day, which is actually the most Star Warsy thing I can do, as the sound and music of the first film inspired me to be the sound editor I am today.

I thought the Kool-Aid/Scorsese thing was pretty hilarious.

Me at the grocery store looking at American products on the shelves:
"'Cause I don't need this!
and I don't need that!
and I don't need this!
and I don't need that!"

Thank you, I appreciate it. I think I'll leave it unless he does something like it again, or if he brings this one up again.

I keep going back and forth. If I didn't need him and his wife to be my catsitters, I'd probably just walk away. Really strange, I don't get it.

Venting into the void here because I can't really post this anywhere else. A friend sent me something completely inappropriate and I'm really fucking mad about it. They had NO GOOD REASON to send me this. FFS what is wrong with people.

Just for Bluesky:
Made myself laugh twice this morning, once for telling a friend I now have no one to send dick pics to since The Queen died, once for referring to sex as "full-on boing-boing".

There are individual tools in Pro Tools. :)

Why do you think it's only one tool? It's one application containing hundreds of tools.

There's Kobo. Again, I don't have one of their ereaders, but their phone app is the best one I think.

Sometimes when I'm sound editing I put a bird in when a character is in a jam and it's like the bird is telling the character how to get out of said jam. I'm basically turning everything into Disney animated features.

The Thicket | Official Trailer | A Tubi Original When a bounty hunter and a band of unlikely heroes pursue a brutal killer, they find themselves in a deadly no-man’s-land known as The Thicket.

Thrilled to finally share the trailer for THE THICKET, an intense western thriller I worked on last year. Stars Juliette Lewis, Peter Dinklage, and Metallica's James Hetfield. In theatres September 6th.

My Christmas present to myself. Looks like I'm going to the 75th Primetime Emmys! If I don't high-five Pedro Pascal, I will feel as if I have failed.
