Geo. HW Bush also realized that (like it or not) Saddam Hussein was a stabilizing force in the Middle East, so regime change was not on the menu (at least not directly) in Gulf War I. And of course Dubya started his Iraq War over debunked intelligence of Iraq having WMD's.
Take Inferior Leader, his wife, his children, & his grandchildren; along with his entire cabinet & MAGAt toadies in Congress & drop them all in the middle of Iran, or the Amazon Rainforest, with no phones, no money, no supplies, no transportation, and no clothes.
Bill Maher probably eats Snickers bars upside down for the texture.
People need to grow up and realize that the bible is the product of men. Men with an agenda, an agenda to preserve & protect the patriarchy, preserve the power of men, to oppress & subjugate women. The roles women played in biblical times has been erased, buried, or just plain lied about.
There is a federal law on the books now that says states can opt out of DST, but they have to stay on Standard Time. The holdup is states like Alabamastan, that want to stay on DST. Having a hodgepodge of states opting to stay on DSD would just make things more confusing & difficult.
My manager knows I'm looking at retiring, possibly in December. He keeps on me about "knowledge transfer", but I turn around & ask him "how do you teach someone who doesn't want to learn?", usually with a "let them learn it the same way I did... RTFM". I've had many talks w/him about the attitudes.
I may need to clarify. I'm an IBM Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer. The younger people are smart enough & capable enough to do the job. They can't get over the fact that the Mainframe is not "point & click". Instead of listening & learning, they run their mouths & say "that's stupid" & more.
I hear you. After 40 years in IT, this is me. Especially when I have to put up with the stupid insipid editorial comments from the younger people who are supposed to "take my place" when I try to train them on what I do. Also me when the company decides to get a new productivity product.
Nope. And to think that there was 77 million plus people in the US that were too racist, bigoted, & misogynistic to vote for a woman that has a laugh that irritated them.
There's no height limits on infantry personnel as far as I know. So slap a set of fatigues on him, give him a name patch that says Cannon Fodder & ship him out to the front lines somewhere.
I've been saying that they were using the wrong form of the word since Inferior Leader started his Bored of Peace.
And on January 7th, 2021 him and those that enabled him on January 6th should have been stood up against a wall in front of a firing squad & executed for being the traitorous scum they are.
If the authorities have credible suspicion that there are bodies buried at Zorro Ranch, and get a search warrant, he cannot refuse the search can he? And can't they also get a court order to halt all "renovations" at Zorro Ranch until a proper search is conducted?
You trying to cheer us up?
I've been saying this for the past 5 national elections (2016, 2018, 2020, 2022, & 2024), DON'T GET OVERCONFIDENT OR COMPLACENT! But they do it anyway. They say "Oh we got this sewed up!" or "in the bag". Then possible Dem voters get complacent, don't show up to vote, & the right turns out en masse.
Mr Randy Not Fine, needs to read the room & grow up. I watched the dreaded Bad Bunny Halftime Show (gasp!) & I did not see any "filth". No bare boobs. No bare butts (there were some short skirts & shorts, not a big deal). BB did thrust his hips, but so did Elvis in the 1950's.
In the USA, wealth & the accumulation of money/power/possessions is worshipped & glorified. Taxes & social programs are akin to blasphemy & devil worshipping. As long as this dynamic is in place in the USA, we'll never have the things that Norway & other European countries have.
Also noticed... no one was making "OMG that smell" faces or holding their noses behind Mamdani. Also no audible diaper filling sounds.
The USA needs more leaders like this. Leaders that can have something like this happen & make light of it, show their humanity, realize that something things just happen & it's better to see the humor in it than pitch a fit & get angry over it.
Hello. Where you been hiding at? I miss your posts.
4. What Would You Change In Your First 90 Days? Not a damn thing.
5. How Do You Handle Conflicting Stakeholders On A Project? You ever hear of The kal-if-fee? The Vulcan "Passion Fight" from Star Trek?
As someone on the cusp of retirement, all their answers are wrong.
1. What Do You Know About Our Company? Not a damn thing.
2. How Do You Make Decisions With Incomplete Information? I don't.
3. Whatβs Your Leadership/Management Style? I don't have the time or crayons to explain it to you.
This morning, she decided that both my chair & myself needed to be beat up. π She jumped up on the arm of my chair, wrapped her front paws around it & started biting it. Then she jumped down & did the same thing to my leg. I just let out a little quiet "Ouch" & she stopped.
I've had Little Miss Nala for a month now. She has really blossomed. She's gone from a shy & scared kitty cat to a rowdy boisterous fur ball. She plays a lot & without encouragement. She has her toys (my previous cat's toys) scattered all over the house. I got her some toys of her own for Xmas.
Yee haw!
So this morning, I collected a stinky from her litter pan & ran it over to the vet. And while I was gone, she found herself a way back under the sofa. π She's a regular Houdini. I sure hope she outgrows the hiding stuff. But she's a little lovable furball.
I took her last week to our family's vet & got her checked out. Dr. Amy said she was good & healthy, no visible signs of fleas or parasites, said her coat looked really good & her heart sounded good & strong. Nala was pretty scared, so rather than take a poop sample, they had me bring one back.
