Extremely proud of Vincent Kompany for that ballsy setup. We bossed Alonso with 10 men. Every season, the team needs a game in which there is a “critical position” (like in chess, where there is only one right move and the rest fail). We rose to the occasion and came out a stronger team, imo.

There’s value in him for 40-50M. He’s not a zone dominator/box dominator like Samu, Haaland and Sesko but there’s value in how he manufactures space in the box and strikes it with gunman-esque intent. He’s certainly not good for teams where the striker would be camped in the opposition box

For what it’s worth, I’ve found his finishes to be on point. He’s got most of the good finishes in his books. Still takes too many touches and requires space. West Ham should be interested.

Dalot is wasted in this role. He’s explosive going forward and would be way better at RWB with Yoro at RCB when they make a back 5 in defensive phases. But, Mazraoui is better technically than Dalot, so it does support your point.
