OMG! I think I finally tracked down and killed the brutal ground loop that was infesting my now dual-amp setup. 🥳 A combination of a Furman PST-8 and a Morley Hum Exterminator in the right places.

Cranking the #bognershiva "clean" channel gets a pretty cool "vintage non-master-volume" vibe, so I thought, "How would it sound to play bass through the head and run from the load box to a bass cab simulator in the computer?". Drum lessons at #schoolofrockchia continue with “Sweet Child o’ Mine”. The dramatic ornaments and crescendos in the intro and elsewhere are OK, but deceptively simple kick drum pattern and little fills in the verse are severely testing my motor skills. 😅

Drum lessons at the #schoolofrockchia continue. We’ve now moved on to “Sweet Home Alabama”, which (even simplified) demands *considerably* more independent control of one’s limbs. (And I have only fairly rudimentary control of my limbs at the best of times. 😅)

As I wire and re-wire the pedal board, I am slowly acquiring a veritable library of cables of different lengths and connector types. On one hand, I can increasingly wonder, “Oh, do I have one of those?” and find that the answer is “yes”. 😁

And the “restringing is way overdue” project concludes with the #epiphoneinspiredby1964texan which also gets fresh batteries in its little acoustic pickup. I’m going to set a reminder in my calendar so that I remember to change strings next time before they start breaking. 😅

Right! Having finished the Túrin lectures and (mostly) caught up on all the critical administrivia that I'd ignored while finishing them, it's time to return to things like my guitar homework! 🎸 (Only 12 out of 14 days late .... 😳 But I'm good to go, now! 😅👍)

I mean … that’s part of why everything is in plastic storage boxes rather than just lying around. (I’ve tried getting cat pee off cables in the past and … no, you just can’t. 🫣😅)
