I was a regular visitor to the old canal-side emporium.
New place is beautiful!
Dangerously closer to home. My only constraint might be that I would cycle to the old place in scruffs. I’m less likely to be in the city centre dressed that way.
When the pubs were closed I used to do a tour of the good off licenses/bottle shops ( @gnomeandaway.bsky.social @thatbeerplace.co.uk Chester Beer and Wine, and then back to Gnome on the way back) and have a drink or two at each. It was my weekend ritual, then Porta started doing outdoor food
