Walking the Tลkaidล โ€“ Meiden Nagasawa to Okazaki Walking the Tลkaidล from Meiden Nagasawa to Okazaki โ€“ a honest account of hiking Japanโ€™s historic route through industrial landscapes, temples, and the reality beyond the guidebooks.

Yesterday I walked a section of the Tลkaidล and tried to embrace the noise instead of shutting it out.

Hell Yeah or No: What If Taking the Photo Was Enough? What if taking the photo was enough? No pressure to post, no need to share. Just observe. A thought on photography beyond social media.

No idea if the idea makes any sense, but based on a Derek Sivers book Iโ€™ve just finished, I wrote a very short post about capturing a photo as an endpoint.

Just got the first roll of film back from my Zeiss Ikonta 6x9. Boring images (it was a test), and framing issues, but overall very happy. The lens and shutter seem immaculate.

Point little finger and thumb outwards at 45ยฐ angles horizontally to create a reversed ๅ…ซ which you can pronounce as the ใ‚„. Then do the same with the other hand to make another one and you have two ใ‚„โ€™s (x2 = ๅ€/ใฐใ„). Place one hand on top of the other and you have ใƒคใƒใ„

A grid of photos with light leaks.

Used grandfather's old Kodak Cresta with Lomo Colour '92. The camera was fine (shot Kodak before with good results), but this film suffered from 'fat roll' - doesn't roll tight enough, causing light leaks. A waste of money :-( Sticking to Ilford or Kodak from now on.
