even without link i don't think bsky would just erase a handle similar to yours from search and you can just do a post about it. There's not downside on making it public about a genuine impersonator if you have actual proof.

I think it's a matter of intention and how they convey it tbh. Knowing this the signs can be easy to identify.

Oh I don't mean like holding conversations but rather asking your other contacts to give you info. They'll try to give you a link so you could "clear' the report or smth like that.
