I was born at a very early age and now I'm here. Some things happened in between, but they're probably not important.

The first time I ever saw him on telly was on The 11 O'Clock Show in the late nineties. He was rambling stupid thoughts and the audience was loving it, but I was wondering why they'd just got someone off the street to speak his brains... it was only later that I realised *that's his act*.

The album cover for "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" by The Beatles, but it's now a collection of characters from the BBC's long television history. No, I'm not going to list all of them, and no, I didn't forget to add that character you like.

Turns out that today also marks the launch of the BBC Television Service from Alexander Palace in 1936.

They were the best fans I think I've ever seen at Kenilworth Road. They knew they were going down but they were absolutely determined to have fun anyway. The weather was *atrocious* too, so travelling from Yorkshire to Bedfordshire and back that night couldn't have been fun either.

One of the best thigns I've ever seen at a match was when Bradford City visited us in 2018-19. Their team was dire and got smashed 4-0, but the fans were brilliant. First shot on target was in the second half: "We've had a shot!" followed by "Let's pretend we scored a goal" and celebrating wildly.

Yeah, the end is inevitable when a club's own fans sing that. "Sack the board" is another one guaranteed to get the board to sack the manager instead.

Always sad to see a football manager being relieved of their job purely on the grounds that they're no bloody good at it.

Always appreciate it when this picture reappears of Cookie Monster writhing and screaming in agony after The One Show savagely pinned a poppy into his bare body.

He's been hard on himself there. U2 have done way worse albums than that.

'Multiple people' stabbed on train in Huntington British Transport Police is currently responding to the incident on a train to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Horrible news from the ECML tonight. My thoughts are with everybody involved.

I heard there was a handy clasp
That helps rock climbers with their grasp
Of ropes, and makes your keyring look much keener
It saves on space, it opens in,
And closes with a subtle spring,
The humble and the trusty
Carabiner

Dunno who else has been watching the Brackley Town - Notts County cup tie, but I'm so pleased for Brackley. Never gave up, had all sorts of decisions go against them, and still won it on penalties. Hats off.

It doesn't look like either a Luton or Forest Green fan did this one, but yeah, whichever club this latest moron supports I hope they and the law throw the book at them.

Growing older has never been the problem for me, growing *up* is where it all falls down. Perhaps that's why I saved some of my greatest mistakes for adulthood!

3-0 up against a team two divisions below us so naturally Luton have bottled it completely and let Forest Green bring it back to 3-3. Good job I expect Luton to be a shambles these days else I'd have been raging right now...

Robbie Savage trying to encourage his Forest Green players (not working, they're 2-0 down). I didn't hear that, but I hear the Luton fan in the stand behind him shouting "No-one's listening, mate".

The BBC1 globe replaced by a jack o' lantern

The BBC1 globe replaced by a jack o' lantern

More than Ghostwatch, the finale of Paul Daniels: Live at Halloween 1987 scared the SHIT out of me as a kid.

The slam of the iron maiden, the horrifying silence, the voice of a floor manager asking everyone to leave. And then silent credits. Incredible television.

It's up there with the Ben Stiller Starsky & Hutch for me, a film that acknowledges the original and then takes the concept to new places rather than rehashing things.

Star Trek The Next Generation scene. Tasha Yar, Riker, and Data stand outside with some greenery in the background, a questionably perfect blue sky backdrop, and lots of fog. Yar and Riker have a defensive posture holding phaser pistols, Data is staring at his phone. (It's a tricorder). Closed caption reads, "Spooky " πŸ‘»

That rug on that floor... good lord, NO. I've got Patrick Troughton's voice in my head from that Public Information Film: "Putting a rug on a freshly polished floor? You might as well set a mantrap." Arse-over-tip possibility: extremely high.
