Another great @capecowlcomics.bsky.social con! Picked up stuff from my old CEX collaborator @mattharding.bsky.social, Head Lopper maestro @andrewmaclean.bsky.social, and this rock mag from @comicsareforkids.bsky.social. And I shared this print preview of my new series, Tome. #comicsky #comicbooks
This isn’t nib work but it was on the same pile of stuff. Do you guys know I have a bunch of comics coming out, and a bunch of shows coming up? Is there anybody on here that doesn’t follow me on instagram?
These are older. I like that it looks like the Moomen are staring at the naked guy.
New nib demos. I’m trying out different kinds of paper.
More nib practice. Still not anywhere close to where I need to be, but further along than I’ve ever gotten.
The one I landed on was “Boss” but it still feels weird. Like, I’m pretty sure if I called you boss, you’d think I was making fun of you.
I was just saying this the other day!
More dip pen demos.
We recognize the impotence of having protest and immigrant safety resources available in different languages. That being said, I have no direct connection to any community outside my limited social media reach.
So I ask you to share them wherever you think they might be applicable. Thank you.
Day 2 of posting dip pen drawings until I get better at it, get bored, or get enough followers to feel embarrassed about posting shit art on here.
I have always been awful at inking with a nib. I think for the next while, this Bluesky is going to be about me posting my terrible demos until I get good enough to integrate dip pens into my normal comics process.
I also reserve the right to do this two or three times and then get bored and stop.

Here's one of those delivery droids running for it's life. Yesterday I saw one of these on Hollywood, stuck in a divot, desperatly trying to claw it's way out while people filmed it.
It's a .png so it looks like garbage on Bluesy. but it'll look good if you copy and paste it onto other stuff.
I made this little police brutality illustration, but I don't really know what it's for. Maybe you guys could use it as a sticker for reels or what have you?
