I have ADHD, and caffeine doesn't put me to sleep. It stimulates my system like it does in most people. If someone's getting sedated by a stimulant, that suggests something beyond ADHD is going on. Let's not generalize subjective feelings into universal ADHD truths.

Burnout is real, but my point was about physiology. Does caffeine itself cause sleepiness in ADHD? Or is that feeling rebound fatigue/sleep debt? Reducing ADHD to a chronic state of collapse is unhelpful and pathologizes us more than necessary.

Totally fair. Parrots (and pigeons) are heart-stealing but brutal to care for. Daily cleaning, grooming, lots of attention, social time, vet bills, grooming, no cats/dogs, stable environment, and one mistake can be devastating.

So “unlocking true understanding” really means refining predictions within that unproven physicalist box. High model fidelity ≠ ontological truth. You mistake a useful map for the territory itself. Consciousness remains unexplained by your model.

Science excels at describing how phenomena behave (model fidelity). But it doesn’t explain what reality is, and crucially, it completely sidesteps the hard problem of consciousness. It observes effects, it doesn’t grasp the cause.

The issue isn't “faith vs. science.” Your empiricism isn’t neutral; it presupposes a physical reality it can’t actually prove. You're starting your reasoning from an assumed metaphysical framework, not a demonstrated one.
