Energy transitions can happen faster than we think:
In 2000 almost 90% of Denmark's electricity was from fossil fuels.
In 2024 less than 10% of Danish electricity was from fossil fuels.

A group of eight people stand together in a meeting room beside a tall banner for the Overlapping Illness Alliance. The banner displays the Alliance logo and partner organisation logos. The group are smiling for the photo, and several are wearing visitor lanyards. A table in the foreground holds leaflets, and the room has large windows and modern wooden paneling.
1/ We were thrilled to see 50+ MPs and Peers at the Overlapping Illness Alliance drop-in last week.
Thanks to your emails, nearly 80% of MPs got an invite, one even said it was the most letters they'd ever had about an event. Your support genuinely made a difference.

Why America Reinvents Itself Every 80 Years - and Is Doing So Again
The three main drivers are the arrival of transformative technologies, the looming potential for vast economic growth, plus the right alignment of certain generations. We have them all right now.
I wrote an essay a couple weeks ago that went viral on how America could be heading into a reinvention like only a few times before. My new piece this week lays out the case about why this happens every 80 years and points out all the evidence around us now.

Screenshot of the study published yesterday Annals of Neurology. Title: Neurologic Manifestations of Long COVID Disproportionately Affect Young and Middle-Age Adults. Interpretation: Younger and middle-age individuals are disproportionally affected by post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (Neuro-PASC) regardless of acute COVID-19 severity. Although older people more frequently have abnormal neurologic findings and comorbidities, younger and middle-age patients suffer from a higher burden of Neuro-PASC symptoms and cognitive dysfunction contributing to decreased QoL. Neuro-PASC principally affects adults in their prime, contributing to profound public health and socioeconomic impacts warranting dedicated resources for prevention, diagnosis and interventions. ANN NEUROL 2024
You may think that neurological symptoms in #LongCovid are for old people, but it is the opposite. Young adults (18β44βyears) and middle-aged (45β64βyears) with mild acute #COVID cases (non-hospitalized), represent 90% of the cases of #NeuroCovid. Read here: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...
