where’s my money 😔
Oh wow, 14 months into the term you realized disaster relief might actually be important!?!?!?
Definitely the first two I thought of.
Hell I watched Bloodline last week…
Making carne asada for the family tonight, pretty excited about it
the US operation in Iran
What if infants had chainsaws? What if cats could fly around in jet packs? What if ATMs required you to insert your genitals? What if
Modern Republicanism is making up a thing to be scared about and then using that as the basis for policy
Watching Top Chef Carolina’s thinking about what could have been
I was also in marching band you don’t see me bragging about it
If I (a person who pays more attention to American politics than is healthy) do not even know what state you are from, I definitely shouldn’t be getting campaign email from you.
They’re getting rid of hereditary legislative seats in the UK and yet
Could this be a solution?
Trump has tremendous difficulty with principled people (even if as with the Iranian regime, the principles are bad). He assumes everyone is a transactional fraud like him. Works well with rich Americans and poorly with idealists of any stripe
It’s become obvious that the Trump administration gave zero thought to how this war would play out. Even now, though, I don’t think they quite appreciate how locked in they are to a complete and total clusterfuck. danieldrezner.substack.com/p/im-sick-an...

What about the physical enormity of the US? Does that force people to drive more?

I was walking my dog while listening to this y/d morning and when she said that I yelled so loudly it scared him and I had to apologize
Yeah I believe it. The house we’re renting is cute, love the location, but structurally…well I’m glad we don’t own it…

The cost curve of panels (and batteries) is really opening up applications no one even thought about before.
Man just stretch and breathe, let the animals do their own thing
Lemme see if I can dig that up…
Last year there was a study that co-located solar in fields with crops (positioned vertically rather than at a sun-optimum angle) and the decreases in solar efficiency and crop yields were completely offset by doing both on the same land.
And that was in *Denmark*, same lat as Thompson, MB
We owe him an apology
Generative AI will never be able to do research like a PhD student. It will never have that level of self doubt or the urge to take up unrelated hobbies.
Great thread. I’d be *very* impressed to see a machine navigate the overlapping contingencies of codified laws, local right of way yielding/negotiation conventions, and frequently treacherous road conditions that exist in Winnipeg

The only way this makes political sense is if you *know* the Republicans will kill it (so you can use that against them). But I don’t think that is the case (or their plan).
