I spent lot of time sitting in voice chats with friends doing Baal Runs, making new characters.
Growing up the music and sounds in caves, ruins and other places forced you to live in this world. It's easy to spend hours while it feels like only a short while.
POE and POE2 are what D3/4 should be.
Met a friend I've had for 20 years on this game.
Diablo II is fucking phenomenal. I've spent countless hours (even now) playing this game. Sadly D3 and D4 don't come close but if you want a game that hits when it comes to Gameplay, a banger soundtrack and a taste if what ARPGs should be then here.
I don't remember much in the way of enemies really except things you needed to interact with to pass obstacles but damn it, the FMVs really tied this entire thing together.
Short game but fun to play multiple times.
Not sure how many have played this but D was a sick game growing up. I didn't have a Saturn myself but when my cousins came over to visit at my grandmothers house, we played this all the time.
The design of the game was simple but scary. Point and click walking down dark hallways.
