i made corbeau and corneille's relationship to be complex from the start but holy fuck when i played the game it became so much worse. MAKING IT WORSE WAS NOT MY INTENTION BUT I AM HONESTLY PLEASED

didn't expect to do a lore dump already but. this is just the gist of it 💔

anyway. corneille in plza is like 17-18 so... my poor child 💔💔

corbeau won. despite the settlement, corneille couldn't stay trapped anymore. they couldn't be under his shadow, they couldn't be disregarded by everyone

so they made an escape. ran away. took what was necessary, stole the funds, and ran without looking back

one day, corneille couldn't take it anymore. they didn't want to keep living their life like this. arguing, awkwardness, and the resentment and bitterness growing within them

if corneille could beat corbeau in a battle, they'll leave. but if he wins, they'll stay and forget about everything

things calm down for the day. apologies were there sometimes, but corneille never forgave.

sometimes they still had better days

but it wasnt often. sometimes they still had to get to work to make up for the sabotages. even when they would rather stay in their room all day

their relationship had altered entirely. and revealed so many of corneille's deepest feelings they never got to express or let out

their relationship just ripped apart more and more.

their fights were always verbal and never settled. it's awkward when

a full year of their feelings dismissed, no one taking their side, being told the same things over and over

not only that, corneille sabotaged business sometimes. that got them into a lot of trouble

and that only lead to more and more arguments between the two siblings

they were just a kid who got to grow up in a better environment than the adults around them

they couldn't possibly understand how they truly felt despite some of the stories they were told

not to say corneille's feelings weren't understood, but rather disregarded

or not.

the events of XY had caused the siblings' relationship to fall apart. there was constant arguments and nobody seemed to side with corneille because they were just a kid

they were just a kid, they didn't understand fully how much corbeau, philippe, and rust syndicate went through

still. the two are very proud of each other. corneille was like a prodigy and corbeau worked hard to get to where he is now

maybe corneille could be next in line to take over one day

they're involved in the adults' business yet at the same time not. sometimes they felt way too sheltered. sometimes they felt like they couldn't fit in with other kids

they just remained in corbeau's shadow

cept well... that's all they knew corneille as. that's all they were. just a mini corbeau, corbeau's little sibling. rust syndicate's wild card

but corneille seems to be doing okay. even if they want to do more. even if they are more mature than kids their age due to being surrounded by adults

despite the many downs, corbeau came around to love and cherish corneille

by the time corbeau became boss of rust syndicate, his underlings sometimes point out that corneille was like a mini corbeau sometimes

they sicken me so much they don't know what's gonna happen ouhwhhh

corbeau having to parent his own sibling makes me ill

he couldn't help but feel resentment when they were born bc he was already struggling. like fuck dude-- why'd his bio parents have another kid just to leave them both stranded
