I don’t have much of an update today except that Sain, my eternal disappointment, just missed with a hit rate of 94.
He exists to spite me.

To be fair, I would have also assumed that about him.

Anyway. My point was that I feel like an FE pipeline of 3Hs -> conquest is not a great way to experience fire emblem and I fear for those who are pushed onto that route by a loud minority of fans on Twitter.

Like I realize birthrights is easy but I genuinely feel like playing it first and getting attached to the Hoshido characters makes conquest more heartbreaking for the player. Instead of random npcs who hate you for being from nohr, those were your FRIENDS once…

Like- I think fates is messy but it’s fun and has good game play. I just would never suggest any of its routes as someone’s second ever FE game. And if I DID it wouldn’t be just one route.
I’d be like “nah play birthrights first and then conquest, and then revelations of you like it so far.”

I have a conspiracy theory that the sudden glazing of conquest coming from 3Hs fans (and I only mean a small minority of them) is bc they wanted to claim “no I DO like other FE games” but didn’t want to promote a game that they felt could “compete” with 3Hs.

Just found out there are some people out there who’s first FE game was three houses, and thanks to big certain 3Hs Twitter accounts they’ve decided their second game should be conquest.

Christmas Cavalier update: I waited until they were both level 20 before promoting them.

Disappointingly, I think Sain just got better rolls mid game than Kent.

Which is unfortunate. Bc I like Kent more.

Lowen ended up in a league all his own btw they can’t even compete with him.

WELL right now I’m in the middle of chapter 22x.
For context, I am aware his pair options are Lyn, Ninian, and Fiora. I’m not using Fiora rn, so she’s not ACTUALLY an option unless I just stick her on the field to be his shadow.
And whatever pair I do this time I won’t do on my Hector mode. 🤔

They’re each others only supports despite me literally slapping them next to specific support-able girls every round they aren’t busy. Idk how this happened unless you gain support levels different in this game compared to FE6.

God, just got Hector and Eliwood’s B support. Very funny.
I love girl dad Hector who doesn’t even have a daughter yet. Those girl dad instincts were primed and ready.

I’m also in a weird position where neither Hector OR Eliwood are in a good position to A support any of the girls..?
