Extensive damage in a community following a natural disaster, with debris scattered around including overturned vehicles and demolished structures. Two American Red Cross volunteers distributing meals from a vehicle to a person. The volunteers are wearing vests and one is handing over a meal container.

More than 770 Red Cross disaster workers are providing shelter, meals and emergency supplies after severe weather, including tornadoes and flooding, devastated communities in the South and Midwest.

Additional teams are on standby as more catastrophic flash flooding is expected in the days ahead.
