I recently scrapped my WIP. I love its bones but I know I can do better. I know there is more to this story than this version (which was draft 12, beta and sensitivity read and fully edited).

Fully agree. I have a good friend who chose academia because she thought there is more integrity in it than private practice. She was at a major US university doing cancer research. the result was basically dictated as was the preferred presentation.
Never saw someone leave academia faster.

Since I left X over a year ago, I promised myself to rebuild the feeling of community I had found there on BSKY and on IG/Threads.
