Due to current icy trail conditions (microspikes are needed), we are canceling our self-guided FIRST DAY HIKE along the accessible trail. Interpretive signs will be placed along the VC Deck. You can still meet Thoreau (11am-1pm)/enjoy hot chocolate/free parking. VC hrs: 10am-3pm.

Please join us on New Year's Day for our 1st Day self-guided hike. We will have special interpretive signage along the accessible trail. Henry David Thoreau, as portrayed by Brent Ranalli, will welcome visitors to his house (the replica), 11am-1pm. Refreshments will be served.

We are pleased to announce that "Eyes on Owls" will be coming on Sunday, October 19 at Noon with 7 birds of prey. This program is free, but parking fees apply. It will be crowded!

We're sorry to inform you that Tom Ricardi had to cancel this Sunday's "Birds of Prey" event. We hope to reschedule for another time.

We will be celebrating Thoreau's essay "Wild Apples" with a program on Sunday, Sept. 28 at Noon by historians Richard Smith and Dennis Picard.
