For those of us in the UK this is why the European Convention on Human Rights is important. You don’t know what’s coming next

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Quote from bbc story about slow discharges

I suspect this part of the story (probably along with Wes’s pronouncements on Flu - on the ground I don’t think it’s a major issue yet - my hospital has empty itu and ordinary beds atm)

Previous strikes have shown us that more consultants on the front line means better flow if anything

Patients warned to expect disruption as doctor strike begins British Medical Association members started the 14th walkout over pay in England at 07:00 on Wednesday.

Nobody wants to be striking at any point. It’s a shame Wes and the government have driven residents to this.

The BMA and other trade unions stand together against anti-migrant rhetoric

The announcement of new asylum measures by the Home Secretary risks fuelling anti-migrant rhetoric.

We reiterate our solidarity with our colleagues, many of whom are being subjected to increasingly hostile treatment as a direct result.

Do you know what? It IS working. It hasn't caused tailbacks, quite the opposite actually. More importantly it's saved the lives of at least a dozen kids. Reform are actually campaigning for the return of more deaths and injuries. Absolutely bonkers.

67% in favour of taking action if things can’t be turned around. That’s a fairly clear message

The only country to have left the ECHR in this century is Russia... and they were expelled.

Is that really the example you want Britain to follow?

This is appalling. Not only is this tolerated on x but it is being tolerated in our communities. It should not be accepted on line or in the real world

Not been on call for a bit but don’t think this phenomenon has hit Middlesbrough yet. Either too much natural testosterone or not enough money.

The BMA and many others warned that this was coming, and now it is here. The UK government must act immediately to prevent widespread death in Gaza from hunger. This is entirely man-made and is intolerable.

Dear Britain, it’s now clear: 20mph zones save lives and don’t slow traffic. Implement them | Sadiq Khan There is too much bluff and bluster on this subject. Ordinary people just want safe streets for themselves and those they love, and we can achieve that, says London mayor Sadiq Khan

I'm sad to say that since leaving Twitter/X my sales for live shows have dropped quite a lot - it turns out that even though it's a dreadful place it was still useful for getting the word out about events. So any shares / RTs of my posts about live shows are hugely appreciated!

EVERYONE has seen their pay fall🤔

Well yes & no!

Resident Doctors have had their pay cut the most & even using CPI the recent increase still leaves their pay lagging

Some perspective on why they are so angry & frustrated

Also the ones with £100k+ student debt growing by RPI

Pay the young less!

How to tell if your appointment was cancelled due to a Doctors strike

Answer you can’t

On a average day in the NHS hospitals cancel 50,000 appts

Strikes days affect 40,000 appts, apparently🤔

Blaming the Drs for a broken system is giving Management/Govt the excuse they want
