Albert Einstein said, “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.” Fairy tales stimulate their imaginations and encourage critical thinking, not to mention presenting them with moral dilemmas, allowing kids to think about right and wrong, thereby learning valuable life lessons. For example, they might learn from Rapunzel here, how dumb it is to continue doing something stupid just because the person supposedly in charge tells you to.

Don’t hide out. We’ve all got to do something, no matter how small. Make phone calls, donate money to democratic candidates and/or groups that now need money, join marches, donate food—- SO many ways, big and small, to resist.

I’ll bet not many of you have seen this drawing— we never used it for anything, I don’t think. But it’s one of my favorites and I have it framed in the playroom at my house. I have a whole little story about them in my head, and trust me, it bears no relation to any other circus, past or present, if you get my drift. Comment accordingly.
