Dozens of Palestinians killed in latest Israeli attacks near food aid distribution site, medics and witnesses say Witnesses describe people shot in head and torso near sites run by Israeli-backed US organisation Gaza Humanitarian Foundation

There is no longer any doubt that Israel has set up a fake humanitarian organisation so it can kettle Gazans into a kill box and murder them en masse

It is evil beyond description and in a decent world it would result in immediate, massive, global action to stop them and prosecute those responsible

It wouldn't be an IMC without our campus rabbits...

We'd love to see your pictures of them brightening up campus at #IMC2025

Here's one we spotted consulting the programme.

Confronting & Celebrating the Limits of the Body: Black Sabbath Live at Villa Park  | The Quietus Black Sabbath began with a broken body – Tony Iommi's industrial accident – it is both fitting and inspirational they end in the same way.

“The performance was a study in frustration and bravery (the stuff of everyday disabled life). Gone was the clown prince of darkness, throwing buckets of water over the audience; in place of such slapstick was an intensity never seen before.”

I don’t believe in the death penalty except for some of the NYT crossword puzzle creators: YOU lot can go to hell

It's a pity that if you have enough money, your brain just legitimately melting and running out your ears is apparently not fatal.

i genuinely dont know what other industry has failed as speculatively as journalism has failed at meeting this moment

we are talking about whether zohran is going to do a sharia law while gop has been trying to pass a bill to strip medicaid to pay for concentration camps like

I called her out on my instagram but idk if she even looks at mentions let alone cares

she even said something along the lines of “when a student comes to me saying they ‘think’ they’re ADHD/ASD and need an extension I’m like hmmm” and I just, I can’t get over the fact that she so readily downright violated her students’ trust for cool contrarian points.

there’s a certain historian who does public-facing work and in general I q like her stuff, but recently she wrote in a big about her absolutely dogshit beliefs around “overdiagnosis” of adhd / ASD, and I can’t get that bitter taste out of my mind-mouth when I listen to her.

On how A.I. can transform media consumption:
Reading the A.I. summary — I think it can be useful. I think it has a powerfully inoculating effect. Like, I think long-form, lots-of-episodes TV is a waste of time. But it’s very tempting, right? You watch an episode and you’re like, “Oh, geez, I really want to know what happens here.”
And so I discovered a couple of years ago, obviously, that the solution is you immediately go to Wikipedia and read the entire summary of the season, and then you’re cured of the desire to watch any more episodes. So there is a therapeutic benefit to A.I. summaries.

Really a sad way to go through life www.nytimes.com/2025/06/27/b...
