Fanciful Kereru play rugby on this whimsical label. No forward passes here! The can is a study of greens for the feathers on the birds and the grass on the pitch. A cute worm watches on next to the barcode. This 6.5% West Coast IPA is full of hop flavour with notes of citrus and pine.

This my thinking as well. This has made me focus on things I’d rather just worked as expected.

This is my concern. A building manager may have made an arrangement with the courier co, but residents (our customers) may not have agreed, or be aware. Hence my calling it 3rd party (bogus) ATL and we get stuck with the losses.

You would think so. In this instance there is a geotagged drop point. Referenced as “mail room”, only there isn’t any such place at this address. Just a corner where opportunists can help themselves to what’s not theirs.

Yup. An apartment complex in Auckland.

It might be worth checking if you still want your ATL from lockdown times, or if it might be best if you route your delivery to a more secure location.

I have tried to offer excellent customer service and support when orders go missing, but it may be that we can’t do this when there is an ATL at the receiving address.

So, I have a courier conundrum. 3rd Party Authority To Leave (ATL). This what I am calling it when a building manager agrees without our consent (and possibly your knowledge) to have freight left at a delivery address. There is no cover for loss (theft) or damage if this happens.

I’ve resorted to mastodon.social for the business as CloudIsland.nz is not for commercial content (it’s where my personal account resides). I’d love a dedicated instance run by the admin of CloudIsland for Kererū, but that’s not cost effective for me just yet. I’d love to find a NZ instance though.

Today I modified the list of socials that we manage from our website. Engagement is nearly zero on FB despite 10k+ followers.

I have concluded that the only way forward is limited, direct, and real (as genuine as I think it can be) connections with you all on both Bluesky and Mastodon.
