Some of our Philly neighbors don't have heat in their apartments this holiday season. This is against city law. But the road to justice is longer than you might think. Check on your neighbors folks. whyy.org/articles/phi...

Thinking about all those retail point of sale ‘round up for charity’ programs when you buy something that ends in like 75 cents. Do y’all do that? Where does the money go? It’s always ambiguous sentences about where it could go.

Giant Heirloom Market, a boutique grocery store concept, failed in Philadelphia’s Market East location after only three years. Despite public subsidy, the store’s location and timing may have been a mismatch. The building’s investors, however, profited from the anchor tenant’s lease.

Delightful scene! I have quite a few rogue plants I’m just watching to see how they grow bc I haven’t lived in Philly in a long time. It’s changed so much. Butternut squashes were a hit with all the rain & long growing season. But I picked them earlier than I had to. I guess I could have grown more!
