Two posts I saw this morning

I love mario kart world but seeing this direct made me realize just how much world lacks when it comes to anything outside of the actual racing gameplay. Really keeps making me think that the whole open world was just a waste of development.

I could talk about this all day but I will say that not all has been lost and this type of artistry lives on with indies, but some of those franchises that inspired these very indies just can’t exist today or are so wildly different that they are incomparable. (Or they take forever like with GTA 6)

Not to mention that a good chunk of these games hold up super well or are even just straight up better. No interference with stockholders, evil CEOs or fear of layoffs allowed every company to put out masterpieces. The 6th generation had the best of everything which is why it is the best.

The push for fidelity has done so much damage yet brought barely any return in the long run. There a billions of pixels that look pretty but now take 7 years to develop with hundreds of millions of dollars being spent. This era of games still look just as good while not taking a millennia to make.

Lived a lie in my life thinking that ps2 graphics where supposed to be bad. Many of these have so much better artistic integrity than a good chunk of AAAs coming out today.

Honestly the fact that it took until 8.0.0 for people to start getting the idea of needing one per comp should really show the accessibility problem mashing weapons have as well, hope a re work can happen in s4 for brush and squeezer

I have felt this way for so long. 4.1.0 to 9.0.0 squeezer was deadass one of the best weapons in the entire franchise alongside cherry h3, s1 slosher, v1 s2 tri, etc. It would have broken the game way earlier if people had been able to use it for sure

It really is insane when you especially start playing gamss on pc just how much you are being scammed as a consumer by playing only on console

They understand the fans will buy this so they set the prices accordingly. And the worst part is that this will end up selling millions anyways so the chances of going back down outside of sales is not happening for a very long time

I've already been picky about video game pricing but deltarune being $25 and silksong being $20 has made it impossible to look at DLC pricing optimistically in 90% of cases.

I think its making some good changes but id be more happy if they happened like, every month and a half like before instead of 3. Hoping the brella buffs are as good as SRL thinks they are

Honestly felt this way too, lack of a real bomb really hurts a weapon thats all about wanting to control as much area as possible.

Bagging was and still is a good strategy on 3 lap tracks and in past games but now there is no reason not to do it on intermissions just due to how this game is designed. All I can say without going on even longer is that Nintendo should really address this game's issues before worldwides die out.

They also inexplicably made bagging the meta due to how favorable it is to sit in the back and farm power items and collect coins while everyone in the middle is getting hit 24/7. Winning worldwides is now learning every shortcut and maximizing item usage which I know many people consider "cheating"

A lot of casuals will ignore this but I do genuinely believe these intermissions make this game a 7/10 experience compared to a 9 or even 10/10 one. The new mechanics and tracks are phenomenal but since you will be playing straight lines for 80% of worldwide matches the experience completely changes

Honestly I think it should have only been one or the other, but ink efficiency should have been the only change. Even then the weapon still feels pretty strong but def a lot harder than it already kinda was

The thing in West is that the matches were just standard cancer because of our slow nature and we all ran the same comp. But the real meta in JP RM was double stingray and some octobrush/trislosher/roller BS. Literal dogshit mode but people still kept it cause « it was our only chance to beat JP »

Im being dead serious when I say that the checkpoints harm the mode more with these maps. It’s a good design choice but with these maps it basically turns the games into 5 minute stall fests unless one team completely overpowers the other

Actual map design, not a single map should only have 1 checkpoint. There should be atleast 2 checkpoints for a map to be even considered and even then all the rm maps in this game suck lol

Wonder if will be cheaper for expansion pass owners or if it will be a full priced release. It will probably the latter though

Switch games running via backwards compatibility will run better out of the box due the better hardware. Splatoon will probably run at a locked 60 with 0 drops with the switch 2 with no patches, some games can get different enhancements too depending on the circumstances or if patched

My take on stamp was that this special has always been doomed. It feels like shit to fight for 90% of the weapons in the game but against the other 10% it is miserable for the stamp user. I feel like incentivizing the throw, while adding another bs huge hitbox, does fix some problems for both sides.

I still remember watching the first episode randomly at 12am and staying up till 6am to finish the whole season. Everything about it is masterfully designed

That would be awesome but nintendo sees these games as low risk high reward products so unfortunately they likely see no real reason to patch these games when you can just make a new one. I’m atleast happy this game is way more content heavy in this case unlike superstars
