I really relate to this not only about US but also Israel/gaza. I've stopped believing that we can stop the wave of history. Still, I write, I protest -- but mostly for myself. So my kids and grandkids will one day know where I stood when all this was happening, and will know that I gave it my all.

The US is now moving from the politics of inevitability to the politics of eternity. Russia is controlling/determining political outcomes around the world
