OMG! This is the truth. When did schools normalize evacuating classrooms due to a violent student. Kids from K-6 don't flinch at evacuation anymore. Yet we don't support them through the violence they see because we are "not allowed to talk about it" Educators are told to just go on with their day.

Well....that was obviously a big waste of money. Money that could have gone to healthcare and education. Like all the other money DF has wasted till now. Imagine if all this money went to programming for our most vulnerable? Imagine if it went to hospitals?. To students? To housing? Sigh.

Happy International Mother's Language Day. It's an important day to remember our multilingual learners who need to be celebrated for the many languages they speak instead of seeing it as a deficit that they do not have English vocabulary yet. They have so much more! Celebrate their talents!
I use diffit to translate curriculum for students who are multilingual learners. It's great! I can give the same activity in many languages.
