It is not widely known that the first character in sōzō (剡造, meaning β€œcreation”) is also used to mean β€œwound” (剡) in Japanese.
(There is even a common wound treatment called bansōkō (硆剡膏, meaning β€œadhesive bandage”), which uses the same character.)
