Cover of the audiobook version of "We are eating the earth: the race to fix our food system and save our climate" by Michael Grundwald

Just finished listening to @mikegrunwald.bsky.social's "We are eating the earth" about our food system & how it needs to change to protect the climate. Start with a deep-dive into biofuels and covers meat alternatives, the fantasy of regenerative agriculture, and the case for intensive agriculture.>

ICE raid at apartment complex causes elementary students to run from their bus stop in NJ Thursday Students were seen running away from their bus stop on Thursday morning as ICE agents conducted an operation at an apartment in Lindenwold, NJ.

Most people probably focus on the damage ICE has caused in Minnesota

But their violent, fascist tactics affect people all over the country

Here they are-terrorizing 4th and 5th graders at a bus stop in New Jersey

May Trump and Stephen Miller rot in hell

If you’ve refused to confront your Trump supporting parents, now might be the time.
Because they’re literally enabling child rape.

Pam Bondi’s Epstein Testimony Exposed the Whole Game — Slate The attorney general’s testimony before Congress revealed what a farce this is.

As Dahlia Lithwick writes in Slate, the Epstein file drip isn’t a sideshow. It’s the template: slow-walk the truth, protect the powerful, normalize impunity.“We should probably stop calling this law and call it simply “power.” A great article! ⬇️

The Department of Homeland Security is reportedly demanding tech companies turn over user information about those critical of the Trump administration.

The Department of Homeland Security has reportedly issued administrative subpoenas to major tech firms such as Meta and Google to obtain information about users who have criticized the Trump administration or documented ICE activities.

Bloomberg reports that DHS sought the identity of an anonymous Instagram account called @montocowatch, which shares resources to help protect immigrant rights and due process across Montgomery County in Pennsylvania. After the ACLU took the case, DHS withdrew its subpoena. The Bloomberg report noted four other similar cases of DHS using administrative subpoenas in an effort to identify Instagram users critical of the Trump administration, all of which were dropped when the account owners threatened to sue.

The Washington Post reported on another case of DHS using an administrative subpoena to seek information from Google about an American retiree within hours of him after sending a critical email to DHS's lead attorney Joseph Dernbach. The retiree's home was later visited by federal agents inquiring about the email.

According to the companies' most recent reports, Google and Meta received a record number of subpoenas in the U.S. during the first half of last year.

The DHS is using administrative subpoenas to try to force tech companies to reveal the names of people who are critical of the trump regime.
With tech CEOs already cozying up to trump, how long before even a warrant won't be needed?Free speech is on the chopping block.

From the very beginning I knew a Trump presidency would result in people dying.

I was right - COVID.

I never thought that this regime would actually kidnap and murder American citizens.

But here we are.

A stark contrast to how we feel about politicians, media magnates, billionaires and tech bros.

Fighting between Sudan's army, RSF forced more than 13 million children out of school
YouTube video by Al Jazeera English Fighting between Sudan's army, RSF forced more than 13 million children out of school

" #Sudan is facing one of the worst crises in education in the world.

Since April 2023 conflict has forced more than 6000 schools to close.

Many have been damaged and others are used to shelter families.

That means more than 8 million children can't go to class."

NIH Chief Breaks With RFK Jr. on Key Question From Bernie Sanders This is, unfortunately, a very big deal.

It borders on being a crime what is happening to the health of this county because of the distrust in vaccinations. Why????
