Five takeaways from Ravens 23-16 victory over Browns - Baltimore Sports and Life The Baltimore Ravens were victorious over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday in a 23-16 game. Baltimore was led by its defense and improved to 5-5 on the year.

The Baltimore Ravens are well within striking distance of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North divisional race. Baltimore’s defense is back.

Here are my five takeaways from Baltimore’s 23-16 victory over the Cleveland Browns. My latest:

FINAL: Towson wins 65-54. Tilda Sjokvist tied a game-high of 14 points with teammate Viki Matulevicius. The difference for Towson -- 52% from 3-point range. 12-23 as a team.

TIMEOUT, full timeout for Coppin State. 1:35 left in the game -- the Lady Eagles trail 61-51.

END OF 3RD: The Lady Eagles look as if they’re pulling closer, trailing 46-40. Patrice Sosa Lora is 4-8 (10 points) from the field with three rebounds. Viki Matulevicius leads all scorers with 14 and is 5-6 from the field.

OFFICAL TIMEOUT: Coppin State has cut the lead to 36-29. Sydney Burris has had two rebounds and a tip in for two points with 6:59 left in the third for the Lady Eagles.

HALFTIME: 34-25, Towson.

Matulevicius leads all scorers with 11 points. She hasn't missed yet from 3-point range going 3-3 from deep and 4-4 from the field.

UNDER-5: 4:33 left in the second quarter and Towson leads 26-18.

END OF 1ST: 20-12, Towson leads.

Viki Matulevicius leads all scorers with six points for Towson. Patrice Sosa Lora has four for Coppin State.

Coppin State and Towson are knotted up at 5-5 with 7:21 in the first quarter. Towson head coach Laura Harper called a timeout following a made 3-pointer by Coppin State's Erin Henry.

There is an intriguing women's college basketball season ahead of us. With that in mind, a friend and I started a podcast to discuss the implications of the season ahead and our thoughts about UConn and Sarah Strong's passing prominence:

Where will that ability to speak go if oligarchs can simply throw money at one’s freedom to speak out without pushback from a union? Unions aren’t solely to address fair pay (although it’s incredibly important), but they allow employees a voice to express themselves within reason and protect them.

This. But as @pablo.show said in one of his latest episodes, it seems that everyone has a price that it would take to align themselves with these organizations. One thing that stands out about women’s basketball is that the speakers speak out on nearly everything.

#UConn HC Geno Auriemma & star guard Azzi Fudd discussed a “standard” when visiting the Naval Academy. With the first women's Armed Forces Classic game, an ESPN broadcast & a title defense, it was more fruitful than imagined. My latest for PressBox:

UConn wins 79-66, but it got dicey with less than two minutes remaining. Louisville cut the lead to 10, but couldn't get any closer with Sarah Strong blowing the Cardinals candles out with an and-one finish, then, a coast-to-coast steal.

UConn leads 61-40 at the conclusion of the third quarter with four players in double figures. What stands out the most is UConn's suffocating defense, holding Louisville 26.5% from the field (13-for-49). Geno's sticking with man-to-man defense.

Ashlynn Shade just drilled back-to-back 3-pointers, previously having gone 0-for-4 from deep. UConn broke up the 2-3 zone by running a 1-3-1 offensive set and exchanging the passer and the opposite wing from the receiver. This broke collapsed the defense, allowing for Shade to knock it down.

UConn is dominant and entered halftime with a 44-23 lead. KK Arnold and Sarah Strong led the way with 13 points a piece. They'll go as far as their depth takes them, and with a +25 +/- from Azzi Fudd, the sky is the limit.

Here at the Naval Academy’s Alumni Hall and Paige Bueckers is here two rows up from UConn’s bench. Azzi Fudd is returning to play close to where she grew up. Sarah Strong is the most physical player on the court and is an incredibly gifted point-forward.

Kansas City just ran flexbone and ran wildcat a few plays later. I’ve never seen flexbone in the NFL.

I’m in the process of reading 25 books this year and currently reading “Wise Blood” by Flannery O’Connor. I’m currently at 11 books for the year. Are there any recommendations that you all would like to give that are short stories — specifically Gothic heading into Halloween?

Man that’s awesome. Really puts things into perspective on how interconnected we all are in this area.
