Ever wondered how a eukaryotic transcription factor finds its specific DNA motif in the vast genome? In this preprint, we directly measured the dynamics of this search process in living cells, revealing a cooperative mechanism mediated by disordered regions. 1/10 doi.org/10.64898/202...

Pinging @carmofonlab.bsky.social, do you maybe have a suggestion?
New paper out! Combining single-objective light-sheet microscopy and time-resolved SPAD array detection, we massively accelerate fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) compared to confocal FLIM, making FLIM applicable to 3D specimen such as organoids and embryos.

Very happy to share that starting in January, I will take on a new position as microscopic imaging facility leader and researcher at Der Simulierte Mensch (Si-M), a new joint institute by Charité and TUBerlin, which aims at advancing human model systems (e.g. organoids) for biomedical research.
Congrats Valentin! Excited to visit in the future!
Such a fun workshop idea!
I think about this post every day 🧪

Thank you for this! I was trying to implement these metrics in my pipeline for QC and I was always annoyed how badly these work!
Hello! Very excited to share our latest preprint, which is great news for us but terrible news for any diehard fans of PSNR and SSIM as image quality metrics in microscopy... (1/5)

What better way to launch our new account with the publication of @jmstein.bsky.social latest paper from the lab! 🧪 Check out the 🧵 below to learn more about tkPAINT and how we use it to image proteins, DNA, and RNA in the nucleus using DNA-PAINT.
Excited that tkPAINT is finally published! 🔬 Check out the latest version at @pnas.org and see this thread from @jmstein.bsky.social for the overview! Thank you for this fun collaboration! 🤗
Looking for an opportunity to work on cutting super-resolution microscopy and AI? There's still time to apply to the two positions!
