Die meisten russischen Soldaten haben sich freiwillig gemeldet, nicht zuletzt weil dafür sehr hohe Boni gezahlt werden. Sie wissen, dass sie das Geld erhalten, um Menschen zu töten, und das nicht in der Verteidigung der Heimat, sondern in einem Nachbarland, das Russen einst für Freunde hielt.

You may actually be right in assuming that bot farms tried to exploit what was visible, same as regular users (remember those recommendations like "replies are worth more than likes"?), but those are just weights on the output of an NN and we don't know the NN's parameters themselves.

Where I would beg to differ is on your view that making the algorithm open helps bot farms. I think it makes little difference. What really helps them is blue checks.

One of the less commented side effects of generative AI is that it takes the heat off predictive AI. People seem to care less about their data being used in predictive models, now that they met GenAI.
As someone who mostly deals with predictive AI professionally, I kinda welcome this development. 😊
To be fair, X does have a "Following" feed that does approximately the same. I hardly ever use the "For You" timeline there, which is the primary one assemlbed by the algorithm.

Yes, but this is not new under Elon. It is how most social media algorithms work - trying to keep you engaged by showing you more content like the one you engaged with. That is not necessarily a bad thing.
As far as I can see, BSky does not have an algorithm like this, at least not yet.
