Fascinating that KBART format (for holdings) has no interest in subject or authority so rich metadata from ONYX is lost on the way to catalogues #MetaFutures

With Thoth formats being compatible for google books and Overdrive - this could be a way in for public libraries’ federated searches perhaps? Not seen OA search in PL platforms since brief Sirsi project

Does thema have persistent identifiers that can be linked to UKSLC and other dynamic local needs?

detailed LCSH have less possible persistent identifiers, so this data would at time be more simplified in end dataset #MetaFutures

Frenzel explains reconciliation easiest with Wikidata as OpenRefine is smoothest to use! Harder for other identifiers #MetaFutures

Fran Frenzel - a speaker in a room of attendees in seats

LSE’s Fran Frenzel covers the SB & Vancouver statements on collections as data ethics - excellent idea to make datasets available for various technical levels - means learning to use data is not too intimidating! #MetaFutures

The team are focusing on training up NACO colleagues in both Wikidata and the BIBFRAME conversion process - with interest in setting up a UK BIBFRAME standard #MetaFutures

Initial testing with Copilot Enterprise version was not great; the AI LLM suggested plausible headings - but they were not Wessex! Copilot couldn't access Wessex and index it. #MetaFutures

Some really good examples LSE’s work on Wikimedia linked data and contributions to the open web - looking at what libraries can do to support users (researchers or the general public) to contribute knowledge - we are doing parallel work in Lambeth Libraries too!

✂️Check out the two collaborative zines we made with our fellow stallholders at the Brixton Library LGBTQ+ zine fair

💸Based on our Issue 4, we asked 2 questions:What would a world without money look like? & Design your own currency. We got really good answers!

Another great #LGBTQHM26 event today in the shape of our Wikipedia meetup! We weighed up sources from The Lords Library, a NHS poster, an Amy Lamé children’s book, Dan Glass’ QF, Come Together newspaper which suggested between them 150 to 700(!) attended a Highbury GLF rally in 1970 - we went w/ 150
