I named her Karen, and My Month of Wigs was born.

But isn’t very good at it, and ends up giving the same future-telling to everyone. Her desk is lined with crystals, but can’t remember what each one represents.

Meet Vanessa.
She is an insurance claims adjuster. When she found out her great-grandmother was Romanian, Vanessa (who soon wants to change her name to Anastasia), immersed herself in her Gypsy culture.

She is also the first one to yell “SHOTS” when going out with her girlfriends. She drinks White Claw like it’s water. Also the first to stuff dollar-bills into the Chippendales dancer’s g-strings.

Meet CiCi.
She is the FUN mom. She is the first to give her kids sugar. She is the first to skate at all the kids’ parties. Admits freely her travel mug has a little extra somethin’-somethin’ when she goes to the kid’s Saturday morning soccer games.

Meet Rhonda She’s been rockin’ the same hair style & green eyeliner shade since high school. When her favorite cover band “Deaf Tiger” comes to the casino she is first in line. She loves her Shitzu, Motley (Crue).

She has a twin named Mimi living in San Francisco who owns a flower shop that only sells dried Baby's Breath to hipsters.

Meet Mimsy.
She pays $2200/month for a studio apartment, but somehow manages to survive on her Etsy biz that specializes in hand-crafted paper, made from dryer lint. She collects watch gears and wishes she was born in the 1920's.

Then my friend Susan sent me a silly wig that I wore on October 1st - and that began my #MyMonthOfWigs...

In July of 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Invasive Lobular Carcinoma if you're nasty!
I lost my hair to chemo - as one does. I wore this wig one time. After that, I rocked the bald head.
