Unknowingly, YES.

I love Sean Penn in OBAA, but frankly, I can extremely easily justify giving it to Delroy Lindo, Jacob Elordi (my favorite), Benicio del Toro, and Stellan Skarsgard too. These actors have all delivered memorable performances.

Also, over at Xitter, it’s a BIG day for ppl who’ve been to an opera and/or ballet that one time few years ago to post selfies & words about art forms they know nothing about.

This ain’t a defense of Timmy, although I do think his words are given too much weight & are taken a bit out of context.

If Sean Penn wins an Oscar, it will be proof that he and only he did the right kind of campaigning this year: don’t go anywhere, don’t do anything, don’t talk to anyone, don’t talk about cats, don’t talk about ballet, don’t smile, hide.

To those who are like, “Well but this isn’t the first time the US did something like this.” NO SHIT. But does that mean we should shrug it off and normalize it? Your “well actually” apathy pretending to be concern is my enemy.

Every American should start their day knowing that Trump dropped a bomb on elementary-school-aged babies in Iran, killing at least 175 people, many of them kids. The US did that either because of outdated information, or they missed the actual target (e.g. stupidity in either scenario). Pure evil.

If it’s true that the United States bombed an elementary school and killed scores of children it is an unfathomable crime. I have never been more disgusted to be an American.

Weird, right? Felt the same seeing that Serena Williams ad. I’m sure losing weight was right for her, she knows best about herself, but how does that help anyone? It should be obvious that health should drive any kind of weight management messaging but we seem to have completely abandoned it.

How did our culture go from celebrating body positivity to aggressively-marketed weight loss pills & jabs this fast? Swear, I got *zero* judgment about anyone’s choices—everyone knows their own self/body best & should do what makes them healthy & happy. Just wish we weren’t bombarded by these ads.

Think my issue with the dress is how ordinary it looks. Like a pricier version of something you can find at an average dept store. Then again, when you’re on the circuit constantly with a zillion different looks, I sorta sympathize with the instinct to go comfy & unfussy right before the Oscars.

I’ve had a couple of professional make-up sessions in the past year. And for both I showed a photo of Rose Byrne: I WANT EXACTLY THIS. Genuinely annoying how I ended up not looking like her, but looking like me. 😭

It’s the worst place to be for a freelancer, but I’ve truly hit a pitching fatigue. You never hear back. And when you do, it’s either a no or it’s too late or it would have been a yes but there is no money (so, it’s a no). Freelancing used to be a dialogue with editors. Now, it’s being ghosted.

I first saw ANDRÉ IS AN IDIOT at Sundance 2025 and liked it. Two months later, my own father was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer. Upon rewatch this doc revealed itself to be something much richer than its humorous approach would suggest.
