Absolutely. It's a tonally CREEPY & mysterious feeling game. The shift from the earthly locations in 1 to the otherworldly (literally) locations in 2 along with non-human playable characters is done so well. Everything down to the Fatality text is perfect. I like 3 but yeah they got goofy lol

I got legit tech in vs mode in case it ever randomly gets a 100k prize pot tournament...

if you can play it co-op i'd recommend it. genuinely one of the best to ever do it, even if you don't care about MK.

Been thinking about old MK a lot cause of the kollection. 1 and 2 have such a strong creepy and mystical aesthetic that will never be captured again, but I think Shaolin Monks and Deception's Konquest mode were the closest they got to doing that

I feel the exact same way, but I can see the other side in a game like sf6 where getting any kind of knockdown can snowball fast. But also every hit already does a billion damage in sf6 so why does it need to do more. lol

I'm too afraid to post this on twitter but I don't think whiffing a DP should automatically mean you have to die but that seems to be the sentiment a lot of players have. I know the risk/reward is different in modern games but adding super counter hits to whiffed DPs in every game seems overkill idk
