I didn’t prime this! I did experience a very small amount of bleed with the pens, but not really enough to matter to me. I’m sure that has to do with the specific wood though!

For other wood I’d probably spray with my matte finish before painting to ensure evenness!

It was so fun painting this guy on a wood slice! My club suggested a bunch of critters for me to draw on these, & I started with a fox 😌 It was extra fun playing with layering colored pencil on paint pen - I’ve loved working w/ texture lately. Very excited for more of these! ❤️

I’ve used Rustoleom matte and Krylon gloss sprays for Posca pieces before (when painting on other non-paper surfaces) and they both have worked well for me! They tend to “juice” up the colors in a really nice way! Currently doing some tests to see how they work on wood too 🫡

Yeah that’s exactly what I was afraid of! I am a chronic art smudged with my hand hahaha
