Portobello handle on this gourd/squash jar. The stems are a lot like carving trees, maybe I’ll do some long curly tree like stems on some squash. Making squash was new to me, but now I love it. Absolutely relate. I try to snap a pic here and there during the process, so I can try to have something to post. Posting becomes funner I think with the more ceramic artists a meet through it. I do like that part. What are you working on now? Ceramics take so long some times to go from start to fin

Oh definitely have references. Everything went so better for me drawing wise when I started to use them religiously. I had to get used to it. It’s less frustrating if you use them as inspo instead of creating the expectation with yourself to recreate the reference. Perfectionism kills creativity. ♥️
