I was in an ice cream shop in Rhode Island recently, and was pleasantly surprised to find I remembered what "cabinet" meant in that context.

I'm a longtime Cubs fan. I've gone through the same thing. Even this year, where the current problem is a Brewers team that has won 18 of 22 games.

Remember, I'm pullin' for ya - we're all in this together. Well, till October, anyway.

It's Ryne Sandberg's 1984 Topps baseball card (number 596). He's in a batting stance, wearing the Cubs' blue polyester pullover of the era, and white pants.

Ryne Sandberg was my favorite player growing up. Along the way, I acquired, and lost, his 1984 Topps card (pictured). There's a metaphor in there, probably.
