I hit a deer on the highway tonight about half an hour from my destination. I'm a little shook up, but otherwise perfectly fine. The same cannot be said of either the deer or my car.

Yes, even if we could get Musk/Trump out of office tomorrow, I'm sure it will take at least 40 years (and some fundamental changes to the US government to reinforce checks and balances) before the world trusts us again as much as it did before 2017.
