page 4 of Sunburn. the girl runs out of the vampire's cave. the vampire reaches out after her and restrains her. they struggle. the two of them tumble out of the cave, and the girl lands on top of the vampire. the burning sun beats down hard.

page 1 of Sunburn. the girl wakes up with the vampire on top of her. the girl gets startled and pushes her away. the vampire turns into a bat, and the girl seems to recognize her in that form.

page 2 of Sunburn. now calmed down, the girl sits next to the vampire on her bed. in the mirror nearby, the vampire's reflection shows only her skeleton. the vampire points out the bite marks on the girl's arm. in a flashback, the girl is a doctor taking care of the vampire bat, giving it medicine and feeding it. later on, the lab has become a wreck and something goes BAM BAM BAM at the door. the door opens with a SLAM, and a horde of zombies pours in.

page 3 of Sunburn. the girl holds the vampire bat in her arms. the bat bites her arm, CHOMP. back to the present, we see the bite marks in the girl's arms once more. as the vampire finishes recounting her story, the two awkwardly in lean towards each other. the girl sees their reflections in the mirror behind the vampire, both are skeletons. in a panic, the girl gets up and backs away from the vampire.
