After waiting ages for a Blake’s 7 DVD release that never came to the US, the updated and restored S1 BD came today, much faster than I expected! I’m so looking forward to seeing what they’ve done with it.

We released our CS-80 synth plugin (GX-80) two years ago, and I made the mistake of telling everyone at work how much I hated that song. Now they torture me with it every year.

Did you ever get the whole mod to work? Because it was wild!! But, yes, the sounds alone were enough to make it the most immersive and terrifying thing I’d ever played!

I’m so sorry I missed the release of Glass Monuments until now, but glad I found it. That there’s a bit of 🍒 in it is just icing on the cake 🙌

Easily my favorite #GearOfTheYear: #Sonicware Liven MEGA #synthesizer. A fun 4-op FM 6-track #groovebox, here w/ a bit of my 1988 cover of Turbo Killer by #CarpenterBrut 😉 Runner-up: Ambient Ø. Sonicware is doing some of the most interesting and affordable gear nowadays.

My monkey brain is wired to covet synths with beautiful aesthetics, regardless of whether or not I need them (or have room for them). Years later, I still think about the two on top here. I’m pretty certain that my obsession that led to getting a Roland System 100 together was 50% fascination with the design (thank goodness the sound was even better!). Anyone else a sucker for a pretty face, and which one(s)?

Exactly why I bought the second. I had hoped to use them as duophonic by chaining them, but voice swapping led to undesirable results. So just two very portable, very cool monos.

Arpeggio works by allowing users to create and play musical patterns by manipulating the buttons, knobs, and sliders. It has a built-in sequencer that allows users to record and play back their patterns. It also has a built-in arpeggiator that can be used to create complex patterns. Additionally, it has a built-in synthesizer that can be used to create unique sounds. Finally, it has a built-in MIDI controller that can be used to control other instruments.

A 2015 Kickstarter back from the dead and delivered today: Tangible Instruments’ Arpeggio! I backed it 9 years ago. Unfortunately, it ran into problems, and by the time the pandemic hit, I gave up hope. Today, it showed up on my doorstep. 👏 to Tangible for never giving up.

I started with the MEGA and fell in love with the sound and workflow, not to mention the price. Ambient 0 came out right when I wanted portable access to *that* sound, and I ordered it immediately. It did not disappoint at all, exactly what it says on the tin. Highly recommend.

Same. I saw it here in Cleveland on opening night, shortly before moving to the Bay Area. Now I’m back in Cleveland watching Unification, right in between the ages of Shatner and Stewart when they did Generations. I keep thinking about all that’s changed in three decades, the least of which is Trek

Yes, I’m here. And here I am with a few of my favorite things. Actually, I’ve been here for ages, waiting to see if something would happen. Looks promising 🤞

He certainly does! He still leads the software development and roadmap, and occasionally checks my marketing copy for typos 😄 We’re both massive Doctor Who fans and synth nerds, so we never run out of things to discuss.
