So why is GB energy local power so meagre? The internationalisation of UK energy finance, production, transmission and distribution dominates.

Rachel Reeves plans help for poorer households as war pushes up energy bills The chancellor says the Treasury is drawing up options to tackle soaring gas and electricity costs when the current price cap ends in June

Welcome. But GB Energy is off the pace. Real energy security comes from economic sovereignty- democratic ownership of production, transmission, and distribution. The GB Energy Local Power Plan is weak-UK energy remains dominated by global corporates and financiers.

Starmer is now a bunker PM. He is advised that he cant defend his incompetence and uselessness, so he is rarely seen, sends out lackeys to answer for him, and only comes out when its PMQ's, or in heavily managed press outings. UK democracy and accountability?

All cabinet ministers need to reveal all communication with Peter Mandelson. The disgraced Lord and former US ambassador could have been a national security risk.

Peter Mandelson trying to present himself as a victim of Jeffrey Epstein. WTF are @thetimes.com & Katy Balls doing colluding in such debased client journalism & at such an inappropriate time?

Labour's Lord Mandelson remains a Peer. Shocking. Labour - for decades - have turned a blind eye to this odious creep, allowing him into high office.

Andy Burnham blocked from byelection race by Labour ruling committee Decision likely to set off ferocious row between Keir Starmer loyalists and allies of Greater Manchester mayor

Labour have an open war over leadership. High stakes. Burnham made play for leader and to be Prime Minister. Now he either retreats and thus looks weak and unfit to be leader or fights to win.

Wilson's 'This is Manchester. We do things differently here' is actually 'this is Manchester. We do the same Neoliberal urbanism as everyone else'.

There wouldnt have been worst austerity budget since the war, if lib dems had not wholeheartedly joined coalition government in first place.

Greater Manchester's economic model is based on land and property investment, city center, consumption, financialisation and rentierism. It is neoliberal urbanism. Inequality has grown and levels of child poverty have stayed the same for 10 years.

Powell is being untruthful and we all know it. Burnham is making a push to remove Starmer. He aint wanting a seat to merely help out the team. He is wanting seat to be PM and lead his own team. He wants to be the manager.

Restrained? How? Budget after budget was agreed by Lib dems.

Ed davey leader of lib dems is on TV. He is talking how lib dems would solve cost of living, crisis in public services etc. However, he and #libdems created the crisis when in coalition government 2010-15- backing austerity to the hilt.

Less than 1 in 3 voters, voted in GM election for mayor in 2024. Burnham won on 63% of those. Meaning only only 1 out of every five Greater mancunians voted for him.
